YSL Tint-in-Balm | Swatches & Review

YSL Rouge Volupte Tint-in-Balm Swatches Review Photos Sheer Candy replacement

YSL has added a new line of lippies to its Volupte umbrella known as the Volupte Tint-in-Balms ($34 for 0.12 oz. / 3.5 g). EEE I really love these! They are a lightweight, translucent, glassy, jelly balm consistency that are meant to be nourishing, moisturizing and provide an array of my-lips-but-better shades.

YSL Vinyl Cream Lip Stain, Fall 2016 | Swatches & Review

Another Fall launch is hur! Today it's YSL's Vinyl Cream Lip Stain ($36 for 0.20 oz.), which is an all new formula for Fall 2016, although many of us are familiar with its sister, the Vinyl Lip Stain, which has been around for quite awhile. This new Cream formula is meant to be completely opaque, vs. the translucent aspect of the original lip stains, and it is meant to have the same high-shine, vinyl-like, long-wearing finish that leaves behind a natural looking stain of the original lip stains.

YSL Scandal Fall 2016 Makeup Collection | Swatches & Review

The YSL Scandal Fall 2016 makeup collection has arrived in stores and online - I am in love with the colour scheme and especially the nail polishes! I have swatched everything (except the quad) below and have done a look with some of the products as well.

Beauty Bulletin, No. 3

It's that time of year when lots of new collections are launching or preparing for launch for the fall! I've still got plenty of love for summer, but I'm also at the point where I am really excited to see peeks of what's coming next. In this week's Beauty Bulletin, I've included some photos from a slew of new collections, and below I've got more info on the availability of the various collections along with info on a few of the items I'm most excited about!

5 Juicy Coral Lipglosses for Spring

Glossy, juicy, luscious lips are what I'm after pretty much all the time, but there's something about spring in particular that makes me gung-ho to break out my gloss. When it comes to gloss, there's no colour I love wearing more to achieve that freshly bitten, juicy, watery look than warm corals. Today I've rounded up five of my favourite warm coral glossies for you to peachy peeps to consider for spring!

Today I've rounded up my absolute favourite reds (plus one pink) to share with you - I hope you love them!

YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Oil-in-Stick, New for Spring 2016 | Swatches & Review

There's been a lot of buzz around YSL's Spring 2016 launch of a formula called YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Oil-in-Stick ($37.00 for 0.15 oz. | Nordstrom, YSL). But 1) it's been really difficult to find, and 2) I couldn't quite figure out whether it's the same thing as YSL Rouge Volupte Shine (RVS) or if it's a different formula. All my scouting online told me that it's supposed to be a new formula that is in between the pigmentation of RVS (swatched here) and RVSC (swatched here), but when I finally found it at the YSL counter in Neiman's, the S.A. told me that it's the same exact thing as the RVS formula just with a new name.

YSL Rouge Volupte Sheer Candy | Swatches & Review

YSL Rouge Volupte Sheer Candy ($37 for 0.14 oz | Sephora, Nordstrom) is described as "glossy balm crystal colour", which I actually think is pretty accurate. These are lightweight, sheer to semi-sheer, glossy, translucent lipsticks which have the consistency of a lip balm. They are not as moisturizing as a lip balm, although they are more moisturizing than many other lipsticks. And they impart a beautiful, translucent wash of colour to the lips which really brightens the face and gives a fresh, dewy look. Swatches after the jump!

YSL Fusion Ink Foundation, SPF 18 | Swatches, Review, Photos

Soo, I am informally starting a weekly series: Foundation Friday, in which I will (fairly obviously) share a foundation review on (you guessed it) Fridays. Today I bring you YSL's Fusion Ink Foundation, SPF 18 ($60 for 0.84 oz. | Sephora, Nordstrom), which is a thin, liquidy, serum consistency that purports to offer a soft matte finish and 24 hour wear. Review, swatches & photos after the jump!

YSL Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain | Swatches & Review

Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stains ($36 for 0.22 oz.) have been around for several years now, but I'm just now discovering them. And it is love. YSL says that these offer the coverage of a lipstick, the wear of a stain and the shine of a gloss all in one with a lightweight formula that immediately melts onto your lips, delivering intense glossy colour and extremely long lasting shine.

YSL Rouge Volupte Shine | Swatches & Review

YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Rouge in Danger Fuchsia Pink in Devotion Nude in Private Corail Incandescent Pink in Paris Corail in Touch
First of all, I hope errbody's having a fantastic Friday night. Second of all, I want to share some swatches of one of my favourite lipstick formulas, YSL's Rouge Volupte Shine ($37 for 0.15 oz.). To me, these are pretty close to perfect...Semi-sheer, beautifully pigmented, buildable to an almost opaque shade, glossy and lightly moisturizing with a formula that conceals any imperfections in my lips and makes them look full and juicy. Also, that packaging. ALSO, there's a pretty good amount of product for the price, so I think these are kind of great value relatively speaking. They wear really well, I can swipe it on in the morning, and if I'm careful while eating, it's still going strong 7 hours later. Loses some of the glossiness, but the pigment stays. And even I say to hell with it and wipe it off while eating, I get a really pretty stain left behind. More reasons why I love this formula.

I own four of these babies, 08 Pink in Confidence, 12 Corail Incandescent, 16 Orange Impertinent and 17 Rose in Tension. Currently interested in acquiring 21 Red in Sunlight and maybe a couple others. Enjoy the swatches! Bear in mind I'm missing 8 shades here. If there are any other shades besides the ones below that you'd like to see lip swatches of, let me know, and I'll see what I can do. Happy weekend y'all! xx
