NARS Bord de Plage Highlighting + Bronzing Palette | Review

NARS Bord de Plage Highlighting Bronzing Palette swatches review photos face look

Over the summer, there was a whole slew of highlighting and bronzing releases ranging from individual compacts to conveniently packaged palettes. Hands down, my pick of the lot was and continues to be the NARS Bord de Plage Highlighting + Bronzing palette ($59 for 6 x 0.12 oz.).

Tom Ford Summer Soleil Collection | Swatches, Photos, Review

Tom Ford Summer Soleil 2017 makeup collection swatches photos review
*Opens box* *Screams*...this really seems like the only appropriate way to begin a post about my boy Tom Ford's really friggin epic Summer 2017 makeup collection. To say I am "over the moon", "obsessed", "in love" would all be drastic understatements...basically I have no words to describe the delight and covetousness that my inner raccoon / magpie / dragon / animal-obsessed-with-shiny-pretty-things feels for this entire collection. It is perfection. I want to bathe in it and/or eat it (the latter part mainly applies to the lip balms, which remind me of Jolly Ranchers). This would be the time for a mic drop and walking away, but I guess I should write a review for y'all...

Kevyn Aucoin Neo-Highlighter & Neo-Limelight | Swatches, Review

Kevyn Aucoin Neo-Highlighter Sahara Neo-Limelight Ibiza Swatches Photos Review FOTD
This spring/summer, Kevyn Aucoin is continuing his trend of big, beautiful, ombre palettes except instead of a blush/bronzer palette, he's given us a highlight/blush palette this go around. The Neo-Highlighter in Sahara and Neo-Limelight in Ibiza ($58 for 0.74 oz.) are both gorgeous, loaded with product and will suit a wide variety of skin tones.

Make Up For Ever Star Lit Liquids & Powders

Make Up For Ever Star Lit Liquid Powder Swatches
I've been on a bit of a shimmer kick for basically my whole life, and when I saw the press release for Make Up For Ever's Star Lit Liquids ($24 for 0.15 oz.)  and Powders ($21 for 0.09 oz.), I knew I needed to get my hands on 'em. The Star Lit Liquids and Powders are multi-purpose products that can be used on eyes, cheeks and lips (except for a couple shades of the powders, which aren't safe for use on lips). They are meant to impart a sparkling, shimmering, glittering effect wherever you choose to use them, and they certainly do exactly that!

Anastasia Glow Kits | Swatches & Review

While checking out Anastasia's new range of eyeshadows in Sephora, I couldn't help but swatch the Glow Kits out of interest, as I've seen a lot of swatches floating around the internet. The Glow Kits are $40 for 4 x 0.26 oz of product, so basically 4 full size Chanel blush pans worth of product, which is a great value. There are 3 combinations - all three are available at Ulta, and That Glow and Sun Dipped are available at Sephora.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfectors, Swatches & Review

For today's feature, I've swatched the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfectors, minus the most recent limited edition items from the Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne collection. I feel like the Shimmering Skin Perfectors were low flyers for quite awhile until Lisa Eldridge began raving about the liquid version in Pearl on her channel. From that point until now, the Shimmering Skin Perfectors have reached somewhat of a cult / holy grail status for many people, and they have quite a large following! Given that we're in the heyday of the strobing / highlighting obsession, if you're not already familiar with these products, now is the perfect time to check them out and see if one of them is right for you :D They all come in pressed powder, poured cream and spreadable liquid-gel versions. Each can be used to different effect, and Christine of Temptalia's explanation of the differences here is a great resource if you haven't tried them for yourself.

Hourglass Ambient Strobe Lighting Powder Highlighters | Photos, Swatches, Review

Hourglass Ambient Strobe Lighting Powder Highlighters Swatches Review Incandescent Iridescent Brilliant Euphoric
Hourglass released a line of highlighting powders this spring called Ambient Strobe Lighting Powders. We were given a little hint of this release in the brand's Ambient Lighting Edit palette for Holiday 2015, which contained a shade of the Strobe Lighting Powders called Iridescent. There have been lots of highlighters released in general lately, and in particular this spring - many of them have been incredibly beautiful, and Hourglass' are no exception!

Chanel has sneakily released a new collection called Les Sautoirs de Coco for Spring 2016! I only became aware of it yesterday...for now I can only find it on Chanel's website, although now I've found the Perles et Fantaisies highlighter on Nordstrom's website as well.
Anyway, I've got photos of all the products along with plenty of swatches for you, along with a look I've created with Perles et Fantaisies highlighter, Joues Contraste Vibration, Les 4 Ombres Tisse Ombre de Lune, Rouge Allure Velvet La Delicate and Glossimer Clarte. Enjoy!

Dior Spring 2016 Makeup Collection Swatches & Review: Glowing Gardens

Dior Spring 2016 Makeup Swatches & Review Glowing Gardens Highlighter Illuminator Illuminating Powder Glowing Nude Pink

Dior's Spring 2016 makeup has officially launched online and in stores, and I believe that this is my favourite spring collection of the year. It's pretty rare that I want one of everything in a collection, and yet such was the case with this year's Dior goodies. The gorgeous and highly coveted illuminating powders sold out in a flash online at Nordstrom (although both are back in stock now), although they recently became available online at Saks (now only one shade available). I was fortunate enough to find both shades in stock at my local Saks, so of course I picked them both up. I also couldn't resist two shades of the new Color and Contour sticks as well as the lovely springy pink Le Vernis in Lilac.

Swatches of (almost) everything after the jump!
