New Bedroom Rug

new bedroom rug wayfair restoration hardware nahla rug silver dupe

Our bedroom doesn't change very frequently, and when it does, it's usually just one thing here or there. But over time, the changes have accumulated, and with the latest addition to the room, I'm finding myself more and more in love with the space!

Snowe Home Bedding | Review

Today we are talking about bedding. Have you ever wondered where you can find a set of sheets or duvet cover or down pillows that are luxurious to the touch and high quality at a reasonable price point? Well, I myself have wondered this to myself on many a sad occasion. I say sad because I've never really found the perfect answer to this query (spoiler alert: until just now; enter Snowe). Bedding is one of those affairs in life that seems like it should be really straightforward and simple - get some sheets, get a comforter, get some pillows, put them on bed, go to sleep. But like so many matters in life, it is, in reality, not so simple, especially especially ESPECIALLY if you are a stickler for quality. Which I am.

Easy DIY Timeless Scandinavian Modern Headboard

DIY Scandinavian Chic Bare Wood Headboard
Found: the perfect, timeless, Scandinavian, bare wood headboard. The best part? You can make it for under $50. Lol. I made it this past weekend, and hilariously, I was actually on my way to making a slipcovered headboard, and this was just going to be the frame (probably still is, since I already have the stuff to upholster and slipcover it). But I happened to put it behind the bed after assembling it to check and make sure the dimensions looked right with the bed and was immediately struck by how bomb it looked on its own. Accompanied by the fact that the lumber for this costs a grand total of $45 and that it takes barely any time to make, I figured that I would make a quick tutorial for this.

Framed Prints with DIY Gold Frames in Our Bedroom

By Georgia Grace Bedroom Benjamin Moore Classic Gray

I finally finished a project that I've been working on on-and-off for awhile: framing the three Benjamin Chee Chee prints that AJ and I bought on our Valentine's getaway to Montreal! I made these DIY gilt gold frames and ordered custom cut mats - it cost me about $80 to make all 3 frames, which was the price of just one frame (which had too chunky and poor quality moulding for my tastes) that I was quoted at Michael's. I'll have a DIY tutorial for these up in the next couple of days, but couldn't wait to show you what the finished product looks like. I couldn't be happier with the result - they are exactly what I envisioned and really make the space above our bed look so much more polished and cheerful!

Bedroom Update

It's been awhile since I've posted anything on our apartment, and I realize that some of you have been asking for photos of it all for quite some time - so without further ado, I present to you: our bedroom!
