NARS recently launched a new palette, the NARSissist Loaded Eyeshadow Palette ($59 for 12 x 0.04 oz.). "Loaded" is the perfect moniker because not only is the palette loaded with eyeshadows (twelve almost full-size pans), but almost every shadow is loaded (and I mean loaded) with pigment! More photos, including swatches and eye looks after the jump!

I love the size of the palette as well as the packaging. The rectangular size is not too large and easily fits into any travel makeup bag, and the black plastic packaging is very sturdy. The front of the palette is covered in a very pretty, light champagne-gold reflective material with "NARSissist" etched on the front in frosty champagne gold lettering. The mirror on the interior of the palette takes up the entire space under the cover, which is also great because that means the palette has a gigantic mirror!

The NARSissist Loaded Eyeshadow Palette ($59 for 12 x 0.04 oz., also at Sephora) consists of 12 shades:

  • Newbury Street – white gold (Shimmer), great pigmentation
  • Windsor – nude flesh beige (Matte), great pigmentation
  • Privilege – light gold (Metallic), amazing pigmentation
  • Dover – neutral brown (Matte), great pigmentation
  • Foix – light fleshy peach (Matte), great pigmenation
  • Castille – warm amber brown (Matte), great pigmentation

  • Alnwick – rusty copper sienna (Shimmer), amazing pigmentation
  • Beaumaris – hazelnut brown (Shimmer), amazing pigmentation
  • Splendor – gorgeous silvery taupe (Shimmer), amazing pigmentation
  • Versailles – greenish golden bronze (Shimmer), amazing pigmentation
  • Montaillou – cool dark brown (Matte), good pigmentation
  • Reale – black (Satin), good pigmentation

Almost every single shade is incredibly buttery soft, so so finely milled and applies like an absolute dream. They blend like a dream, and I love that there are so many different looks you can achieve with this palette. I know that a lot of people have been complaining about how many "boring" neutral palettes have been released in the last year or so by a lot of big brands, but please trust me that this is not one of those boring, vanilla palettes. The range of colours and finishes allows you to create subtle, no-makeup-makeup looks as well as dramatic, spicy, hot ones that will have you sizzlin when you step out in 'em. Below I've created two looks with some of the shades in the palette, and this is really just the tip of the iceberg with what you can do!

My final thoughts are that I love the NARSissist Loaded Eyeshadow Palette - it's incredibly versatile, beautiful, top top quality, such great value and uber portable. Wins on all counts in my book!

    1. Yes sooo pretty! Alnwick and Splendor are my two personal faves...especially Splendor. It's such a pretty, complex taupe. It's been a long time since I've really been obsessed with a taupe shadow, but this one does it for me! xx Georgia Grace
