One of my go-to, casual, every-day tops so far this spring and summer has been Everlane's Breton Cotton Tee ($32-41), which is now "on sale" in Everlane's Choose What You Pay Section! I picked mine up in size XXS (for reference I'm 5'2", 103 lbs.), and it fits perfectly...keep reading for the rest of my thoughts!

The Breton Cotton Tee is made of a semi-heavy, knit cotton, which can feel stiff at first but which gets softer with washing. It reminds me of the material that's used for rugby jerseys if anyone is familiar with the feeling of those! The thicker material gives it a nice structure, which I think gives it a bit of a polished look even though it's still a casual top.

I love the cut of the top, which is just boxy enough to give some extra room without making me look heavier than I am. I also love the dolman sleeves that drape down past the shoulders and then have the sleeve attached...they are very comfortable and I love the aesthetic of the sleeve as well! There is a polished silver zipper on the left shoulder of the top which allows for easy removal of the shirt so that you don't have to squeeze your head through the crew style neck.

The Breton Cotton Tee looks great with almost anything I style it with - jeans, shorts, skirts...the structure of the fabric makes it really versatile. And of course, Breton stripes are so classic that it's always a good idea to have a couple stripey items in your arsenal for those days when you just don't feel like putting too much thought into what you're wearing. Since the top is on sale, it's a perfect time to pick one up - and I might mention that I've paired it with the insanely comfortable Day Heel here, and I kinda love the combo. See my review of the Day Heel here...it's literally the most comfortable heel that exists IMO.

  1. The shirt looks adorable on you, but this is not a dolman sleeve, it's a dropped shoulder as it is a set in sleeve, just dropped.
P.S. Thank you for your honest, frank opinion of the new Longwear Chanel shadows, I too found them boring and not smooth or buttery, a very dry texture, on the other hand I also agree that the cream shadows are nice, particularly Undertone and Terre Brûlée.

    1. Oh thanks so much for pointing that out! I'm by no means a technical fashion expert on cuts and all of that, so it's good when ppl point out my mistakes :) So glad you liked my review! I feel like there's no point if bloggers can't be honest about products they're reviewing - also it's not helpful for ppl reading reviews if bloggers just say everything is great even when it isn't. Thanks so much for your comment! xx Georgia Grace
