Everlane Form Crossover + Slide Sandals | Review

Everlane Form Crossover Slide Sandals Review Photos

Everlane's new Form Sandals blend minimal design with a contemporary colour palette and extreme comfort to create a hardworking, cushy leather sandal that is perfect for everyday wear. There are two styles, the Crossover ($118) and Slide ($98) - I ordered both in size 6 in the Pale Rose and Navy colours. Keep reading for the full review!

**UPDATE: The Form Sandals are back in stock / available for pre-order here! If you've been eyeing them but couldn't get a pair because they sold out, now is a good time to get on the list :)

The Form Sandals are Everlane's challenge to Birkenstocks and Crocs...a classic, if perhaps basic, style that has been elevated to the level of chic, understated elegance due to the subdued yet decidedly modern colour palette and the meticulous design that clearly attends to every small detail.

The size 6 in both the Crossover + Slide fit me perfectly, and just like the name indicates, the sandals do have contours sculpted into the thick, very well-cushioned footbed which make them feel as if they were moulded to your feet from the second that you slip them on. Extreme comfort is really the only way to describe these!

FORM CROSSOVER SANDAL

I picked up the Form Crossover Sandal ($118) in the Pale Rose colour, which is a lovely, pastel blush hue that is subtle enough to feel neutral, while at the same time having enough colour to add a tinge of it to any outfit that you pair it with. Of the two silhouettes, I prefer the Crossover, as I feel the cross pattern of the leather on top gives them a slightly more refined look. The Crossover is currently also available in Black, Wine, Navy and Dark Green, in case you're not into the pastel look.

FORM SLIDE SANDAL

The Form Slide Sandal ($98) is a little less expensive than the Crossover, because it uses just one strip of Napa leather instead of two, and it's also available in just four colours: Black, Pale Rose, Wine and Navy. I picked it up in Navy and found that it's just as comfortable as the Crossover and has all the same characteristics that make it feel as if it's been formed exactly to your own foot!

The Navy colour is especially beautiful...I love blending it with other similar navy hues for a layered look. If you're worried about lighter colours showing dirt, especially if you're planning to wear these really frequently or if you live in a very dirty area (from NYC to the backwoods of Georgia), the darker blue colour is great because it is much more forgiving and sure to be more low maintenance.

After wearing these, I have to say that they are really insanely comfortable. If you love comfy Birkenstocks and Crocs and the like, I think you'd better take a good look at these! I really think that the minimal design that maximizes comfort and the lovely colour palette make these must-haves for any lover of pared down, chic yet casual summer looks. If you plan to do a lot of walking and need some uber-comfy shoes that will keep up and keep you cool at the same time, I'd say the Form collection is definitely your friend!

If you try the Form Sandals, let me know how they work out for you!

  1. I just got these and I love them but did you find that they were really squeaky when you walk? That's the only thing keeping me from keeping them.

    1. Yea, I have found that they squeak as well, which doesn't really bother me...also I expect that as they get worn in and lose some of their shiny, new finish, they will probably stop squeaking. Just my guess...we'll see I suppose! xx

  2. I have the crossovers and like them a lot, but the foot bed is so easily scratched and damaged because of the leather coating. I would hesitate to wear these on any sandy or rough surfaces actually.
